The Equifax Breach is one of the largest data breaches in history has left 143 million people wondering if their highly personal data has been exposed to hackers.
This incident has generated a lot of concern and discussion globally. The impact has us reeling, and there are staff within Equifax who have lost their jobs. Such a breach for the SMB business will have an impact much more than just loss of jobs. While many people believe, cyber security is a concern for large organizations, but the truth is not only large organizations but SMBs also lie in the risk zone. Everyone is in the risk zone.
It is critical for SMBs to focus on cyber security and be aware of and take actions to mitigate the risks that they are exposed to. In this issue, we cover steps that can be taken to build a cyber-attack response plan, an article on the need of data breach insurance as well as ways in which hackers target small businesses.
